Grade 4 studied the work of artist Georgia O’Keeffe. Practicing with view finders and flowers from our school garden, they learned about zooming in and cropping a picture to make a composition with interesting negative space. Some very successful results! When adding color we discussed using families of color, layering, adding texture, and making a focal point.
